I seriously need to print this and show this to my coworker. Or at least reenact this.
story short: One shift, someone happened to roll a patient on a gurney into one of my rooms. I was expecting a report from the nurse that was taking care of this patient and I was too busy at the time to notice. I think half an hour passed when my coworker said : "hey Jen, your patient in 15 isn't looking too good! You really need to check on him!" with a really grim look on her face. Its one of those expressions where you just HAVE to go. SoI dropped everything thinking "omfg no one's giving me report on whoever is in there" I checked inside and I see the patient lying stone cold dead. I was about to freak out thinking "$@^$ this is bad!" and then a few seconds later I realized this man had a toe tag attatched to him and was already declared dead and that they were using my room as a storage space for the poor fellow. I ended up fuming at my coworker while she was laughing so damn hard.
